APS is proud to celebrate Dr. Liza Burrell-Aldana, principal of Claremont Immersion Elementary School, as a Principal of Distinction honoree.

• The Virginia Department of Education’s (VDOE’s) Principals of Distinction program honors school leaders who demonstrate outstanding leadership, inspire excellence, and improve student outcomes.
• Dr. Burrell-Aldana was selected based on her leadership in advancing student achievement, removing non-academic barriers, and fostering a supportive school environment.
• This recognition is offered in partnership with the Virginia Association of Elementary and Secondary School Principals.
