Music || Música

Claremont students sing, play instruments, improvise melodies, variations and accompaniments, compose music, read and notate music, listen to, describe, and analyze music, evaluate music and music performances, understand relationships between music, the other arts, and disciplines outside the arts, and understand music in relation to history and culture, and oh yeah, we have a lot of fun!

This is my 12th year at Claremont! I love to share my love of music with our students. I graduated from the University of Mary Washington with a BA in Music and a Masters in Education. In my spare time I enjoy building instruments and spending time outdoors, doing triathlons, hiking and backpacking.

Ms. Agnew is thrilled to be teaching part-time at Claremont again, sharing her time with Long Branch Elementary. Molly is originally from Albany, New York, and was educated at The University of Michigan and The Manhattan School of Music. She moved to Arlington eight years ago and enjoys living in the Claremont neighborhood with her husband and two children, Lila and Sam. In her free time, Molly enjoys singing, dancing, reading, and performing in community theater shows. She loves Claremont because it is such a welcoming community that truly values the beautiful and unique gifts of the staff and students.
