Dr. Ayanna Baccus, Reading Specialist
I love reading and teaching reading at Claremont! My goal is to help all children become strategic and motivated readers and writers. A few of my favorite children’s authors are Mildred Taylor, Patricia Polacco, and Beverly Clearly. In my free time, I enjoy listening to music and spending time with my family and friends.
Mrs. Nina Cortina, Reading Specialist
I received a bachelor’s from Florida International University in History and received my Masters in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. I have been working in the educational field for 20 years! I have worked in several schools with unique approaches to learning – from a Montessori school to a museum-based school and most recently a microschool. I am excited to be in an immersion school and play a role in developing a more vibrant and curious bilingual community of learners. In my free time, I love to read, be outdoors, and play!
