I am excited to be at Claremont for my fifth year. I was born in North Carolina but spent most of my early years moving to new places as my father received new assignments with the U.S. Army. My teaching journey began with my attendance at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and continued as our U.S. Air Force family traveled around the world. I have taught in North Carolina, Virginia on several occasions, Hawaii, and Germany. I am the proud mom of two, Marie, who lives in Arizona, and Joey, who is stationed in Korea with the U.S. Air Force. When I am not teaching, I enjoy making my three dogs happy with a lot of attention and many treats and binge-watching shows on TV with my husband. I am excited to share my experiences and learn from my students’ experiences.

I love working with children and aim to instill both confidence and a love for learning in all the students who enter my classroom. In my spare time, I thoroughly enjoy spending time at the beach, teaching and taking dance classes, enjoying live theater, and watching the New England Patriots!
