Mr. Timothy Power, School Librarian
Hi and Hola a todos! I am so excited to be the librarian for Claremont. I love reading and sharing my passion for books and language with everyone. I graduated from Tulane University with a degree in English Language and Composition. After college I lived in Argentina for six months teaching high school English, and then later moved to a village in Spain where I taught primary school English for 2 years. This past summer (2020) I received my Masters in Library and Information Science from University College Dublin where I focused on Children and School Librarianship. If you have questions or concerns, you can ask me in English, Spanish, French, German, and Portuguese! When I’m not reading and learning languages, I’m usually running, playing my violin, or cooking. Nos vemos pronto!”
Ms. Rachel Veizaga
Hello! I am so happy to be serving you and your children as Claremont’s full-time library assistant. Books and Spanish immersion are some of my passions so I feel very blessed to be here at a bilingual school- it’s the best! I graduated from George Mason University with a degree in Spanish, but I initially learned to speak it while living a few months in Guatemala City, Guatemala in 2012. When I’m not reading children’s books, you can find me cooking with my husband, Richard (a Claremont graduate) and planning for our next travel adventure. Nos vemos en la biblioteca 🙂
