Hello families! I am thrilled to be a second-generation APS teacher and to be teaching second grade at Claremont Immersion School. My M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction is from George Mason University and I have been an instructional assistant in kindergarten and VPI for four years serving in both Fairfax County Public Schools and Arlington Public schools. I have also taught first and second grade in summer school at Glebe, Hoffman-Boston, and Jamestown elementary schools. In my spare time I like to read, exercise, and play the flute.

Hola a todos! My name is Caroline Brown and I am thrilled to be joining the second grade team at Claremont Immersion. I’m originally from Winchester, Virginia but spent this past year in Charlottesville at the University of Virginia, where I received my master’s in Teaching English as a Second Language. Previously, I attended William & Mary, where I studied Elementary Education and Hispanic Studies. I’ve always been interested by the Spanish language and language learning in general, which is why I’m so excited to be a part of this community. In my free time, I love being active and spending time with loved ones (including my cat!).
