Hello! My name is Haydeé Colón-Jennings. I am from the beautiful Island of Puerto Rico. I graduated from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico where I earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education Pre-K – 6. I began my career with APS here at Claremont Immersion when the school opened their doors for the first time in 2003. Over the years I have worked with Montessori and Kindergarten students. As Claremont’s Bilingual Family Specialist my goals is to provide assistance to non-English speaking and limited English speaking families during meetings, conferences, and to organize learning opportunities for parents while working with the Claremont Staff. I truly enjoy working with Claremont’s richly diverse community.

¡Hola! Soy Haydeé Colón-Jennings. Soy de la preciosa Isla de Puerto Rico. Me gradúe de la Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico en la cual obtuve un Bachillerato en Artes de Educación Elemental Pre-K -6. Comencé mi carrera en las Escuelas Publicas de Arlington aquí en la Escuela de Inmersión Claremont en el año 2003 cuando esta abrió sus puertas por primera vez. Durante esos años trabaje con estudiantes de Montessori y Kindergarten. Mis metas como Especialista en Familia Bilingüe son proveer asistencia a familias que no hablan inglés o que su inglés es limitado en reuniones, conferencias y también organizar oportunidades de aprendizajes para padres mientras trabajo también con el personal de Claremont. Disfruto mucho trabajar con una comunidad tan diversa como lo es la escuela de Inmersión Claremont.
