Author and Illustrator Residency / Residencia con una Autora e Ilustradora
3rd graders will have the opportunity to work with author and illustrator of The Eye of the Whale, Jennifer O’Connell. After an initial presentation about being an author/illustrator, Ms. O’Connell will spend time in the classroom with students working on brainstorming, the editing process, and illustrating. Over the course of the residency, each student will write and illustrate his/her own book.
Los estudiantes del tercer grado tendrán la oportunidad de trabajar con Jennifer O’Connell, autora e ilustradora de The Eye of the Whale. Después de dar una presentación inicial sobre ser una autora/ilustradora, la Sra. O’Connell pasará tiempo en los salones con los estudiantes trabajando en tener ideas, el proceso de redactar, e ilustar. Duranto el curso de la residencia, cada estudiante va a escribir e ilustrar su propio libro.
